How to Enter the Tournament
Welcome to the Kids Fishing Tournament!
Whether you're joining us through a kids fishing charter, a family fishing charter, or simply spending time outdoors this season, every young angler has the opportunity to compete for prizes and bragging rights. As long as you are fishing with Andrew, you can compete in this kids fishing tournament on Lake Minnetonka!
Entering a fish is simple. Complete the registration form by providing your first and last name, the season in which the fish was caught, the species, and the total length in inches. You'll also need to indicate if the fish was caught with Andrew. To verify your catch, upload a photo showing the fish laying flat on an approved measuring board with the fish's mouth completely closed. Accurate measurements help keep the competition fair for everyone.
The tournament is designed to encourage kids to spend more time outdoors, improve their fishing skills, and create lasting memories on the water. Whether you're participating after attending a summer day camp or enjoying a day on the lake with family, every legal catch can earn a place on the leaderboard.
Tournament Rules & Prizes
Kids who enter fish in the Captained Division are eligible to compete for prizes throughout the season. The first tournament season runs from June 24th through October 31st, giving anglers plenty of time to catch their biggest fish.
Prizes will be awarded for each eligible species:
• 1st Place – $50 Scheels Gift Card
• 2nd Place – Medium-Heavy Spinning Rod (Approx. $40 Value)
• 3rd Place – A selection of Andrew's favorite fishing baits ($30 Value)
With nearly $700 in total prizes available, this tournament rewards both skill, persistence and luck. Every fish could move you up the standings.
Our goal is to inspire more kids to get outside, learn about fishing, and experience the excitement of friendly competition while building confidence on the water.
Captained Leaderboard
All tournament standings can be viewed on the Captained Leaderboard page. Anglers can filter results by species to see who currently holds the largest fish in each category, or view the overall rankings to see the biggest fish entered across the entire tournament.
The leaderboard is updated throughout the season as new entries are submitted and verified. This allows participants to track their progress, compare catches, and stay motivated to land an even bigger fish before the October 31st deadline.
Whether you're joining a summer day camp fishing program, booking a family fishing charter on Lake Minnetonka, or participating in a private kids fishing charter on Minnetonka, the leaderboard creates an exciting way to celebrate young anglers and their accomplishments.
