Our Ice Fishing Classes are the perfect screen-free adventure!
Designed with busy parents in mind, we make drop-off simple with everything your child needs provided—including gear, bait, and even a cozy warming house stocked with hot chocolate. Kids will learn the essentials of safe ice fishing, from picking the right spot and drilling holes to using cutting-edge technology like a live scope. With short walks from shore to safe ice locations, your child will have plenty of time to catch crappies, sunfish, perch, walleye, and northern—all while building confidence and having a blast with friends. Our classes are held on Lake Minnetonka and Lotus Lake in Chanhassen. Dates offered Dec - Early March depending on ice conditions. Not seeing a date you like? Rainbow Trout Class
Chase Rainbows (the Fish Kind) at our Shakopee Trout Camp
Imagine your child shouting, "I got one!" with an elusive and beautiful rainbow trout on the line. That's what they can experience at our Shakopee Trout Camp. This former limestone quarry accidentally tapped an underground spring, filled up, and turned into this deep, chilly, 70-acre trout hangout. The MN DNR now manages and stocks it with rainbow and brown trout, and we'll be there for the season opener spending our time in pre-scouted fishing spots, and safely release fish after each catch. It's a unique, fun time fishing for a species not commonly found in our waters. Dates offered: January 17 and 18th.
